Warranty and Watch Care

All our period watches are tested and serviced. Accuracy will be within + or – 3 minutes a day, sometimes marginally over that for very old pieces. Remarkable for a complex, miniature, mechanism sometimes over 90 years old.

Like anything mechanical they will enjoy and benefit from occasional servicing. At least once every two years is recommended. We can point you in the direction of qualified watch repairers if you have difficulty in locating one.

You may remember Granny taking her watch off to do the washing up. She would have cherished her timepiece and protected it from immersion in water. Best take it off when water skiing and playing rugby as well.

Our watches are warranted for 6 months but provided they have been well looked after, we will always be happy to make adjustments and minor repairs beyond 6 months for a modest fee.

Shipping and Insurance

Charges are indicated with each item to cover shipping. All items will be sent recorded delivery and will need to be signed for. Insurance can be arranged upon request and at cost.

Payment

Secure online payment using a credit card can be made through Paypal provided the address of the Paypal account holder matches the delivery address. Cheques are also welcome but 7 working days should be allowed for the funds to clear.

Investment & Engraving

Your watch is an investment. We do not recommend that you engrave the back of a vintage timepiece as it will marginally devalue it. Some of the watches we sell have been engraved by the original owners and the selling price reflects this. If engraving is important, we recommend light, minimal work.
