A solid, 14kt gold ladies dress watch dating from the 1940s. The Valjean 17 jewel Swiss movement works very well. The dial has some patina consistent with a watch some 65 years old but does not detract from this striking piece of jewellery. It has been adapted for the larger wrist - the bracelet is 7 1/2 to 7 3/4" - but the goldsmith will be able to modify it for a smaller fitting for £40.Purchasing
