I make no apology for including Obrey watches in my selection. The Obrey watch deserves to be considered as one of the iconic jewellery objects of the 20th Century. Many, upon viewing an Obrey watch for the first time, assume the design and manufacture to date from the 1980s or 90s. In fact this watch, like many that I sell, dates from the late 1950s and 1960s. 50 years old and, because of the excellent mechanics, still a reliable timepiece for today.
The cast, solid silver watch case measures 33mm (1 1/4") accross the dial giving the watch and bracelet a heavy comforting feel.
Obrey still produce watches from their Paris base.
