Many examples of the original art deco watch still exist. Although rare, they are a testimony to the watchmakers craft and the enduring popularity of the art deco style. With care, the watches will still afford the wearer many years of service.

It was in America, from the 1920s until the early 1950s, that art deco was received and utilised most enthusiastically. Very few products epitomised this enthusiasm more than the wristwatch. Even today, the designs created by Bulova, Gruen, Elgin and many others, are lovingly reproduced as modern quartz watches and sell by the thousand.
